 Accomplishments and Vitae Highlights

Ø  Provided cogent proactive leadership for district in transition

Ø  Created systems and procedures for district as Safety and Security Specialist

Ø  Created a comprehensive roadmap for educating the school district on diversity, equity, & inclusion

Ø  Implemented new RTI / I & RS process and system

Ø  Passed a $108 million bond referendum to improve and rebrand schools in an urban area

Ø  Created three high schools of excellence via STEAM Academy, Magnet Performing School of the Arts, Comprehensive CTE High School (Implemented IB programme)

Ø  Lead a Problem-Based STEAM Curriculum based on United Nations Sustainability Goals

Ø  Oversaw all curriculum, instructional and assessment protocols for 2 districts in 2 states

Ø  Oversaw and co-authored reopening plan for pandemic and overseeing all testing protocols and procedures

Ø  Created new professional development structure to meet needs of adult learners

Ø  Lead a digital vision for district to utilize personalized learning for all schools – Implemented 1:1 Laptop initiative at newly developed STEAM Academy and for entire district.  Implemented an iPad learning device initiative in NJ as well

Ø  Supervised Model P-20 Partnerships for Principal Preparation Grant “Equipping School Building Leaders” 2018–2020, mentoring 9 teacher leaders

Ø  Improved test scores in literacy and mathematics

Ø  Improved graduation rates

Ø  Rewrote curriculum and assessment documents that meets national common core standards

Ø  Implemented a district wide RTI protocol to improve comprehension and fluency with under-performing students

Ø  Ascertained Maxwell Leadership Coaching certification to train others in high level executive coaching strategies

Ø  Supervised standards administrators, directors and principals in educational content areas

Ø  Built relationships with parents and community via Parent Involvement Day, strategic goal setting activities, PTO liaison meetings, Education/Technology committee meetings….

Ø  Implemented AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) College and Career Readiness system and served as District Director for school district

Ø  Partnering with Pearson Academic and Efficacy Research to measure the quantitative and qualitative impact of digital iBooks in the areas of Algebra and Biology

Ø  Participating in a Mid Atlantic Regional Educational Laboratory Program (RELMA-PLRA) with Rutgers University and the Institute of Educational Sciences on the topic of Professional Learning Communities (PLC)

Ø  Participated in the NJ High School Consortium to assist in transforming High School in the 21st Century.  Consulted with Grant Wiggins in Schooling by Design and Understanding by Design (UbD)

Ø  Implemented uniformed formative assessment reporting system for every third through eighth grade student.

Ø  Created model UbD/DI classrooms in each school in the district via PLC and professional development.

Ø  Facilitated NJQSAC process for the district.

Ø  Implementing balanced literacy initiative via Columbia University’s Writer’s and Reader’s Workshop district wide.

Ø  Provided leadership and guidance in process of curriculum planning, coordination, and evaluation.
